Hi minamoto, very nice hompage about my favorit bike.
i have a "wing gl500 costum" i think it is a japanese model(importet to europe), but i am seeking tabels on frame number and manufactory year and maybe a handbook also in japanese.
can anybody help me??
thanks for a good looking homepage
best regards
Ken
minamoto@>Hi Ken, thank you for your visiting. I have just seen your GL500 on your home page. Beautiful black colored bike. I do not figure out the model year from the photo. According to my service manual, frame No. will start from GL500-1003001 for GL500Cz and start from GL500-1000001 for GL500CB. If your bike has single brake disk on the front, it may be GL500Cz, otherwise if your GL has double brake disk on the front, it is GL500CB. I am glad if the infomation will be a bit of your help.

I found your site while trying to get information about a motorcycle I owned in 1958. It was a single cylinder Megro that had been brought home by a army solder returning from service in Japan. I would guess that it was about a 150-200 cc with a 4 speed transmition. from what I have learned so far is that it was a fore runner to Kawasaki motor company. Wish I had kept that little bike as I had many hours of enjoyment with it at age 15.
I have been riding now for 51 years, and have ridden bikes from all over the world presently I have 2 Harleys A 97 wide glide (my wifes now) and a 2005 Wide Glide. I have ridden all over the U.S. and enjoyed it all. But still in my mind I remember the little Megro I had and all the fun and freedom I had as the best of all times.
Thanks for the site you have I have enjoyed it.
Keep the rubber side up and enjoy life
Pat
minamoto@>Thank you for your nice memory on your bike-life for 51 years! As your saying, Megro had closed its doors in 1964 and Kawasaki had taken over from Megro. So, Megro bikes are also very rare now in Japan. It seems really suit for riding Harley with Jazz music in New Orleans. Please enjoy safety riding.
In June 2005, I participated in a motorcycle travel called "the European Alpine Passes - the summit challenges" managed by a BMW Motorrad partner. Jeff, an American and one of the eight members of this tour, told me that he owned the 1979 CX400 and that his friend the 1978 CX500. I was impressed that these models of the old Honda motorcycles are still used and well maintained in countries other than Japan.
minamoto@>Thank you for your contribution on our website. Honda CX series might be more popular in other countries rather than Japan. This fact shows that Honda CX has the quality of worldwide level. Therefore, I also think it is valuable to keep CX in good condition for a long time.
Hello, Today was the first time after the winter- and maintenance period that I took my 1985 pearl-red CX 650 E to work. This felt very good indeed! How one can miss the feeling and sound of the characteristic Honda V-twin. It is good to know the Honda CX models are still highly appreciated in many countries around the globe.
Best regards, Roelof Veldhuis.
minamoto@>Hello, Roelof. We agree with you that Honda V-twin engines are really unique in all the points: mechanism, layout, style and sound as well. Therefore, many people in the world love them for such a log period. We hope we would like to keep them as long as we can !
Hi I have some parts for a Z250C1. Everything except Engine & frame for sale. I may be able to help .
minamoto@>Hello. We appreciate your offer, but we are welcome your memories with your bikes next time. Thank you for your understanding.
Very nice site! I`m the owner of a 500CX Euro (built in 1983), a very faithfully bike with more than 83.000 km on it. It took me all across Europe, from north to south, from east to west. My other one`s are Kawasaki Z 750 Turbo (E1, 1984) and Triumph BDG 250 SL (1954).
Greetings from Munich/Bavaria.
minamoto@>We are very glad that your CX Euro runs great. You own many supreme bikes. I wish you spend wonderful time with your bikes. Thank you for visiting our site!
Hello,
nice to find some information and pics about the Z250FS (Z250C in Europe).
As you wrote this model >is not taken in book as Famous motorcycle in Japan<. At that motorbike area many big bikes appear, like the 6 cylindres from Honda and Kawasaki and this was the real stars. The little bikes from these days are nearly all forgotten. But, the Z250C is a bike with a wonderful one cylinder engine. I ride the chopper version of my girlfriend years ago and I was surpised of the performance and caracter of this engine with only 250ccm. Actually I own 3 of the former versions of this smart bike, the Kawasaki Z200. I tune up one of them with the stronger engine of the Z250C.
minamoto@>Thank you for your nice story. It seems like you keep your bikes very fine. Z250FS is casual and feel free to customize but it makes powerful sound of single engine. We visited your wonderful Home Page and we would like to add your HP to our link list. Thank you !
Can anyone help us out with a manual for a Klx650 1993? it seems no one has one anywhere in the world?
minamoto@>We are sorry but we do not have the manual. If anyone have the manual, please e-mail to Mike directly. I wish good luck for your KLX650 !
Have just got a 1982 GL400 basketcase, looking for a manual or tech info
minamoto@>Thank you for visitig. I am sorry that we have only Japanese manual. I hope your GL will revive soon.
I WANT TO FIND CUSTOM PARTS FOR MY YZF750SP
minamoto@>YZF750SP, YAMAHA's cool bike ! It sounds wonderful to customize your bike. However, I do not have ideas on YZF750SP. Sorry. Anyone who has information on YZF750SP would be encouraged to send e-mail to Ryan directly !

Feel free to contact us on the troubles of your CX.
We will do our best for you.
I also have a rare Z250C (with the huge seat etc) its a really nice bike. Currently im looking for a set of forks for it, but its proving hard work. Can anyone help? The pics of the 250 here good, clean example etc... but it has one thing mine doesnt, that warning light. Is that because UK models dont have them anyway or is it a homemade extra?
minamoto@>Thank you for visiting our site.
The warning light is not a homemade but standard parts for Japanese models.
We also feel that getting old parts is quite hard work.
Please send some photos of your Z250C for us to upload them on our Website.

My favorite motorcycle memory is when I went riding with my boyfriend Lancelot on our Cb125. I remember the wind blowing through our hair and pulling over on a mountain pass to look at the scenery and we just started to kiss passionately and we just got carried away and decided to become a couple. Now, 6 years later we are still together and hoping to teach our adopted son the joys of motorcycles and man love.

I have a 1982 GL500 which I am slowly restoring. It is in regular use, but less in the winter! Our local road maintenance authorities apply salt to the roads to reduce ice - unfortunately this does not agree with old motorcycles.
Very best wishes

Just started getting into Honda's. Picked up an interest
in the small cc's and Honda has done it all. I now am working
on restoring an '89 Honda NS50. They didn't sell well here
in the US, but it is quite a nice MOPED size bike to have.
Can you help me idenify other small cc bikes that may
have made it to the US?? They could be four or two stroke
models.
You can E-mail me at triump1@Bellsouth.net.
Thanks
Billy
todo@>I gave you mail.
Wow! what a great collection of bikes. I own a CX650E. I am thinking of buying a CX500 Turbo, mint condition. Am wondering about availability of parts. Are they easy to come by? Are they expensive? E-mail comments would be welcomed. Thanks
todo@>I hppe that you will have a chance to get nice CX500 Turbo.
Sorry but I can't help anything.
Very nice pictures. I enjot your site. I have been communicating with Yasuhiro Watanabe. He is buying some parts. I have 2-CX500 Turbo and 2-CX650 Turbo bikes and lots of parts. Someday I would like to own a CX EURO. They are very interesting, and I like them. I have been a turbo owner since 1892. I have owned six different turbos. I am glad there is a very active turbo club in Japan. I also have the small and large CX 500 Turbo models from Tomiya. They are real nice.
I live in Georgia, which is located in southeast part of US.Tifton is located in south central Georgia.Mostly agriculture and research here. Lots of trees and forest. I enjoy taking long easy rides in the countryside.
Feel free to contact me and let me know how you enjoy your motorcycles.I ride mine almost every day. The weather does not stay too cold to ride except for a few days a year.
When I buy a scanner I will send some pictures.Have a good day!
todo@>I feel sorry but thereis only pictures in my page because I can't write well in English. You have a lot of CX,haven't you? I enjoy to have two ways, long touring by GL400 and short by YD125.I bought Kawasaki Z250FS 1992 model last year.I'm going to have a good time with it when it will become warm. When I have interesting memoris with it,it will enter into my page.
I look forward to your motorcycle's pictures with pleasure.
Hi!
Very nice site with beautiful pictures. My first visit here.
I have a CX 500 -81 and a GL 500 D, -83 with panniers.
Also have a Yamaha XJ 900 F, -92. All shafties, as one can
see, because I donエt fancy having to grease and adjust driving chains.
Like those small V-twins very much. Relaxed running and
pleasant exhaust note coupled with superb reliability
is not too bad, eh?
I drive my Hondas daily, but now the driving season is
near its end, so itエs time for some love and tender care.
Will visit you again. Earlier bikes were Suzuki GN 400 T
-80, Honda CX 500 -81, GL 500 D -82, CB 400 N -83,
Yamaha XJ 400 -83, Honda CM 400 T -83, Suzuki GS 500 E -90.
Happy riding and nice wind!
todo@>Let's look forward to the driving season with pleasure.
Hello!
Nice pictures. Iエm looking for a fine CX 500E but they are hard to find. The owners probably will keep them for themselves as long as they are working. My earlier bikes has been Suzuki 250 Honda 500 four and a Yamaha XS 750E -79.
todo@>In Japan, there is only a few.Therefor,I'm very glad, when I find nice old bike. I wish you have good chance to find CX500E.
Have had two GL500. Put 90 000Km on first one before
being struck on side by a car. Second GL has 68 000Km
and going strong. Have travelled all over North America
on these bikes.
Enjoy your site...very innovative.

Cool picstures... I want more. Myself I ride a Honda CB 125 Twin 1980. Love those late seventies early eighties motorcycles.
I enjoyed your page and photographs. My first bike was a 1968 Cl350 and I loved it I rode it to the eastern coast of the USA and back [about 1600 miles] the vibration was most tiring It was twenty years before I rode again now I ride a 1977 Hond 550 that I found in a barn having sat there since 1991.that was 4 years ago I finished it and ride it to work when the weather is good.I am working on a GL500 I that also was in long term storage it however had been in an accident and needs repair. It should be ready this spring. When I get a scanner I will send you pictures . Thanks Sven Dorsey
Very nice photographs. I ride a customized 1980 CX500C in Rochester New York. It is in the northeast part of the United States. If you find the Great Lakes we are on the southern shore of Lake Ontario the easternmost and smallest of the Great Lakes. We have 114cm of fresh snow on the ground now so we won't be riding soon. :-( My wife has a 1982 Yamaha XV920 Virago. In the past I owned a Suzuki 250 Hustler a 1968 Honda CL175 Scrambler and a Honda 65. Happy riding! Greg Bogoshian
